The combination of Mickey J Meyer and Shekhar Kammula returns with their second film LEADER.most awaited since it marks the debut of D.Rana in the lead role and this being Shekar's 4th film.his previous three films were box office hits...and musical hits too..their prevoius combo being Happy Days was a big musical hit...so expectations riding on the audio to be a hit!so lets c if their combo delivers yet again..!!
1)MAA TELUGU TALLI KI-this is the first track in the album...dis ones an old song sung by late Sri Tanguturi Surya Kumari garu..wel da difference is dat da vocals have been fitted wid the background being composed by Mickey..the song starts off with da chorus which is pretty haunting...and a piano solo being looped in the background which syncs wid the Rhythm or pretty much makes da rhythm...pretty good til now..he fuses E major wid a carnatic raaga...dis is unheard off in recent times as no one has dared to do dat apart from Maestro Ilayaraaja which is a common thing for him...the song is more likely to be used as a background score... very impressive work from Mickey..
2)Aunana-this one has vocals from Naresh Iyer and Shweta Pandit.it sounds very much similar to the song in Kotha Bangarulokam composed by Mickey.it takes off da flavour only coz of the similarity..Great lyrics by Sri Veturi garu as usual..Shweta pandit is amazing in the song..the song has normal beats..nothing extra ordinary..but has a good feel..will be a hit with da youngsters!again impressive!
3)Vandemataram-the pick of the album for me!!has gr8 vocals from Nakash Aziz..sounds more like Rahman..but very much impressive!the song sounds with synth sounds and then beats ...the patriotic feel in the song is amazing!with heavy piano chords complementing the vocals the feel increases more...not much electronic sounds used except for the synth sound which has been put in a loop..Mickey sure does know how to capture that patriotic feeling by not using many electronic sounds..:)keeps it simple with a simple progression in the D major. another plus point is the lyrics by Veturi garu...and the sky high vocals keep the feel going..Great goin Mickey!!
4)Rajashekara-Shweta pandit does a great job in this so called 'item' song..she sounds more like shreya goshal with that playful voice..this song has a flavour of old songs..he uses the harmonica on the keyboard..the song picks up tempo in the ending...shud be more a treat to watch:P
5)Hey CM- this song stands out in the album for the jazz feel it has...very daring to use them in Indian cinema music..use of live drums is evident..this trend is picking up nowadays!a playful tune with a good bass works, horns, piano and gr8 vocals!whats disappointing is less usage of the bass guitar considering its jazz song...could have been better considering his past track record..
6)Leader Instrumental-this is the instrumental version of the first track which is again very haunting!the instrumental which is used is the Shehnai..amazing work on the shehnai!!he matches the Indian instrument by using the guitar for chords!fusion at its best!to even get the chords for an Indian raaga and then play it with a guitar is unthinkable which mickey has done!hats off to him!!
totally good work from Mickey!sure to be a hit with the audience!Cant think where he could have been better...Great work from Veturi garu..hes a living legend!Surely Mickey is goin to go places with works like this!!

A Few Praises...
Here i wanna post a few praises from eminent personalities about Ilayaraaja...very less in comparison to what he actually is..:):)
Dr.BALAMURALIKRISHNA (Eminent Carnatic Vocalist, India)- As far as i am concerned, I would say Ilayaraaja is the composer of the century. If there is one single authority on 'orchestration', it can only be Ilayaraaja.
HARIPRASAD CHAURASIA, (exponent of Hindustani Classical Music, India) - It is a treat watching him (Mr. Ilayaraaja) work - he does everything, composing, arrangement of instruments, orchestration and conducting - that too without the help of any assistants and a stopwatch.
LALGUDI JAYARAMAN (Eminent Musician, India) - The speed with which he writes notations have always baffled me.
NAUSHAD ALI (Doyen of Hindi film music, India)- That this man has achieved is 100 times more than what any of us have achieved; only time can tell the quantum of his achievements.
RICHARD KING (Sound Engineer of Thiruvasagam in Symphony, Winner of 5 Grammy awards) - Even his thoughts are musical. Ilayaraaja is the musical face of India, which the western world is really stunned at!!!
SEMANGUDI SRINIVASA AYYAR (Eminent Carnatic Vocalist, India) - Raaja has that unique gift to please common man and carnatic experts alike. Shri Ilaiyaraaja is a great film music director - his expertise in diluting Carnatic Ragas without diluting their native merits, is well known to me - and a thorough expert in Carnatic music.
ZUBIN MEHTA (Music Conductor, Israel Philharmonic) - I was bewildered after listening to his 'Nothing But Wind' and 'How to Name it'. He belongs to the 21st century and perhaps beyond.
Mani Ratnam(ace Director)-Ilayaraja would look at the scene once, and immediately start giving notes to his assistants, as a bunch of musicians, hovering around him, would collect the notes for their instrument and go to their places. When the orchestra played out the notes, they would be perfect, not just in harmony but also in timing - the background score would commence exactly where it should and end at the exact place required, pointed out Mani Ratnam, amidst applause. Ilayaraja was a genius, he said, who could compose music
with just one look at the scene.
Balki(Director)-He's god. He has been a major source of inspiration. I don't think India has known a better music composer. Sadly one-half of India has not heard him enough.
The above were a few praises from a few eminent personalities abt Ilayaraaja...i thought i should put up a few of dese to tel da world about his talent...

Got down 2 work..downloaded the track...dint waste ne time in listenin 2 it...it was bass treat...not just dat..da orchestrating was amazing...da credits shud have had R.P,Sunitha,Bass guitar:):)!i swear i cud hear da bass along wid the vocals on the background..and da bass had no connection wid da song...went in another melody...u shud hear it know wat im speakin abt...:)im actually listening 2 dat song as im writing now...:)da orchestration is at its best..goes on continuously behind da vocals...da vocals are gr8 too...amazing actually...starts off wid a flute and den enters da bass!!follow vocals along wid da bass..da bass lines are strange actually..goes on a 7 count..never heard things like dis b4...and one more thing abt the bass lines in this song is that the bass lines never repeat..even thought the same tune is playin its always a different bass line playin..never repeats..one master class from GOD...he got da best out of R.P and Sunitha..im sure its one of der best songs til date..im sure R.P wud be wondering if he cud ever compose tracks like dis being a composer himself...:)no offense meant..just dat Raaja sir is God....a must listen song...trust me..:)ul b worshippin Raaja sir after is..and bass guitarists listen 2 dis and challenge yourself 2 play dis...ul be spellbound afta listenin 2 dis track..Kudos to GOD..:)!!

i went out wid my frnds today...had a good time wid my school frnds..went out did some hookah and den got high and spoke every shit i could have....and then got back home and slept for some time...my frnd suman came home and took some files from my comp that he wanted..then i came out wid my inter frnds wid no certain plan at all...went to alleygator did some bowling and almost finished last..!i was dejected wid my performance and had no strike or spare to my account.:(then v headed off to pizza hut end shared a few slices of pizza each..and the time was nearing 12 and v wanted to b home by then to cut the cake..so v rushed home in hari's car and collected the cake and headed to indra mohan's home to celebrate new years together...v missed out on rajesh' comapny during bowling..v dint want that wen v cut the cake....rajesh is always sum1 to b wid coz v always poke fun at him..
